Alexander (Sandy) Shriver

Sandy Shriver has been a Brattleboro attorney since August 1995. In 2013, he became a partner with Phillips, Dunn, Shriver & Carroll, P.C. (PDSC) and is now reimagining PDSC into Shriver Law Group in 2026. He focuses on corporate law and real estate transactions

Sandy is currently the President of the Windham County Bar Association. He also serves on the Vermont Bar Association Title Standards Committee and a State of Vermont Professional Responsibility Board Hearing Panel.

He has been active in the Vermont Bar Association Young Lawyers Division, and has served on the Vermont Bar Association Board of Directors and the Board of Directors of the Vermont Bar Foundation.

He has testified on a real estate related matter in front of a State of Vermont Legislative Committee and has served as an expert witness in a real estate related case. Sandy raised two wonderful children in Brattleboro - Marjorie: BUHS Class of 2018, and Alex: BUHS Class of 2021. He now lives on Oak Grove Avenue in Brattleboro with his wife Diane, dog Mosely and cats Gomez and Mae. Sandy is also an active member of the Brattleboro Sunrise Rotary Club.

He has served as a Brattleboro Town Meeting Representative, as the Secretary of the Brattleboro Area Habitat for Humanity and the Treasurer of the Windham County Democratic Committee. Sandy ran for the Vermont Legislature in 2000 and served as a member of the Brattleboro Union High School Board of Directors in 2001 and 2002. He was also the past President of the Windham County Humane Society and served on the Board of the New England Youth Theatre. Sandy graduated from Vermont Law School, magna cum laude, in May 1995. At Vermont Law School he was the Vermont Editor of the Vermont Law Review and a student representative to the Board of Trustees. He was named a Vermont Law School Scholar for three consecutive semesters, an honor granted to the top five students in each class. Sandy’s work experience during law school included employment with the Vermont Supreme Court and the South Royalton Legal Clinic. Sandy grew up in Villanova, Pennsylvania.
